  • The right supplements to take when training has always been a hot topic in cycling. Many believe the right hydration and diet is all you need, others follow an intense supplement program for maximum results. The food you eat will always play a huge part in your performance and cannot be replaced by munching tablets. Understanding what to eat and when is the key to staying healthy and achieving your best! But there have been many studies that have proven the benefits of adding supplements to your regime.

  • What's CPC? It's a super-grippy elastic polymer that was designed for military use before finding its way into the likes of Formula 1 amongst other things. Prologo have the exclusive rights to use it in cycling equipment.

  • It's a crazy sport. There is so much involved equipment wise. When it comes to a race you have a couple of outfit’s even two pairs of shoes. But that is just for racing; when you're training there's much more you need to think about.

  • About six months ago, following a chat with my wife, we decided to upgrade her bike security for a number of reasons. As a daily cycle-based commuter like myself (bar the occasional weather or kids based switch to public transport or the car) she is very reliant on her bike, and having invested in a decent ride, we didn’t want some third-party becoming a beneficiary of our investment.

  • Every Now and then a brand or range of products comes along that redefines expectations by blowing everything else out of the water. When this happens as consumers we are put into a tricky situation, more often than not the product in question is priced at a level that allows this kind of re invention to happen ( ie. it is more expensive than you would usually consider) the higher price allows for better R&D and of course ups the budget for construction techniques and materials which in turn increases the desirability on our end!

  • Even the most hardcore cyclist can have their Sunday ride or morning commute quickly undone by a minor mechanical problem, The funniest thing is that it's usually the Lycra glad ultra race boys that either don't have a tool (it's too heavy and they certainly wouldn’t ruin the look of that ultra expensive bike with the addition of a saddle bag. Plus it's not in the book of rules - look it up) or worse still if they do have a tool but they don’t know which end to hold..

  • "There's enough data from tyre manufacturers [to say] that larger volume tyres roll faster," he said. "Yes, there's a bit of a weight penalty but for the people who aren't chasing the grams it makes perfect sense."
